Well, it's been an interesting new year so far. I was talking to a friend today, and I kept saying,"Why not?" I told her it was my motto for the year. Why not? :)
Outside my window...
dark and cold.
I am thankful for...
great friends. From meals to advice to fun, I have a great group.
I am thinking about...
losing weight. :) It has nothing to do with the fact that I'm watching The Biggest Loser.
In the schoolroom...
We took a big break for Kevin's staycation. We're starting back tomorrow and we're trying workboxes. No snickering please. I'll let you know how it goes.
From the kitchen...
We had salisbury steak and mac-n-cheese tonight. We're on our health kick starting tomorrow, so might as well go out with a bang!
I am creating...
a home. Kevin and I were toying with the idea of remodeling or adding on to the house. We had people out and asked opinions and at the end of the day, it was just too expensive. So we're going to decorate it and love it how it is. First up is the kitchen. Don't worry. You all will have a front row to my craziness. I will say we are heading in the right direction with decluttering.
I am working on...
not procrastinating. It's a hard one for me, but Kaelyn is a procrastinator, and I don't want to breed more of them. My biggest procrastination is putting something away "later." Later never gets done, and it's a cluttered hot spot the next day. It's being purposeful and aware. Kevin and I got a lot of cleaning done this weekend, and I like how the house is coming along because of it.
I am reading...
An Invisible Thread by Alex Tresniowski. My mom bought it for me for my Kindle. I think I'm going to like it.
I am praying for...
myself. There...I said it. I need it, so I'm doing it.
I am hearing...
Jillian Michaels yell at people. Oh, how I have missed this show.
Around the house...
Well, I already told you about all the things going on with cleaning and decluttering. Other than that, I've got my Thirty-One stuff on the path to organization. I'm pretty excited about that too. There are no longer piles of Thirty-One bags in my bedroom. They have their own storage area. This makes me and I'm sure Kevin happy.
One of my favorite things...
my Thirty-One bags. Seriously, I sell these things, but I only use ones that I "need." Since I'm rearranging and trying new things for our workboxes, I have discovered a bunch of uses for some Thirty-One bags I had. I'm lovin' it!
A few plans for the rest of the week...
chemo, Kaelyn's driving test, bookclub for the kids, basketball, and a Thirty-One party in Delaware!
A picture thought...
Marley got her glasses. As if she wasn't cute enough to begin with! She's darling!

It was great having the Carpenter's over for dinner. I think it went pretty well. We will definitely have them over again (if they still want to).
ReplyDeleteMarley's glasses are in for a ride. It's not as if the girl is quiet and sedate. She is usually bouncing from one wall to the next.
I hope this year gets us were we would like to be. It'll be hard but those are the only things worth doing right?
