No matter how well intentioned I am, this blog falls by the wayside. Let's get in the saddle.
We're coming off a major travel week. Marley went to sleep away camp for the week. I was a nervous wreck, but she was fine. That's how it normally goes. Kevin and I drove her six hours there to stay the night and drop her off at her scheduled check in time the next day. We stayed in a hotel and goofed off. It was a good time. Three days later, the rest of us (minus K'lyn) headed to Richmond for a wedding, more driving. We decided to do a daytrip because we're funny like that. It was a lot of fun, and we picked up a stowaway on the way back. Nana will be with us for two months! We didn't get home from the wedding until past midnight. The next day Kevin and I were in the car again headed back to pick up Marley. We went the night before again, just so we wouldn't have to do a 12 hour trip in one day. We're old now, and while we probably could've done the 12 hour roundtrip, it wouldn't have been pretty. In case you're wondering what upper 40's couples do when they're in a hotel room with no kids in a different state, let me tell you. We sat on the bed eating chocolate cake (me) and cheesecake (him) while watching a marathon of The Office on TV. That's love folks!
This week we're winding down and enjoying some out of the car time. Some new news is that Logan bought his first car! This means that I don't have to drive him and Marley to co-op both days this school year! God is starting to show me some things that I'll be doing this year, but I'm not ready to talk about them yet. I'll let you know. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying these last weeks of summer here. Now for some pics!
