BATMAN! Again!

My lovely sister, Maria, bought her lovely little nephew, Logan, a pair of Batman pajamas for his birthday. You might remember this picture. The cool thing about this pair of pajamas is that the Batman is a bit more animated, which we (Kevin and I) think works better for younger kids. You do understand that this is a huge change for my kids who are accustomed to watching the original adult movies of Batman, thanks to their papa. :) Anyway, I have the new pajamas washed, so Logan wore them tonight. I took pictures to post here for Auntie Fifi to see. Logan wanted to give a thumbs up and Marley wants to be exactly like Logan, so she did the same. The following pictures were captured.

Daddy taught Marley how to put her thumb up. She needed hands on help.
She's really trying! Thank you Auntie Fifi!!!!!!

Interview With A Logan

Remember my blog about Logan calling vampires, damn tires. I got it on video.

I'm hoping this video works because it's not letting me play it right now. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Just Follow The Multi-Colored Brick Road

The kids and I get out every morning to water the plants and clean the car. One morning we found chalk that we had left out, and I colored one of the bricks. Rory followed suit, and then Logan, and we ended up with our own multi-colored brick road. Kevin has apparently done this with the kids before, but I haven't. It was fun. I'm a little OCD about it and can't have the same colors next to each other, but Rory likes to color blocks of colors at a time. This drove me crazy, but I still think it turned out great and it was fun. Logan was trying to kill ants with chalk more than color, but he still had fun. Marley was hanging out in the car most of the time (she likes to take all the dvds out of the case and try to put them back in again). She came out in occasion to run barefoot over the colored path. A good time was had by all.

Paper Eyes

So we all know that I had a doc appt. yesterday. They got to run some fun tests. The ailment I have called Sjogren's makes your eyes and mouth dry. So they decided to test how dry my eyes and mouth were. To start off, they put paper in my eyes. That's right...paper...to measure how many tears I was producing. There's a blue line on the paper that gets pushed back as it's saturated. My wonderful husband took pictures for you.

See how the paper isn't colored yet? The doc said I could keep my eyes open and looking up or I could squeeze them shut. It was easier to just gently close them.
By the end of it, my eyes were red and angry with me. But look at my tear level! The doc said it was normal. For the dry mouth test, I had to spit into a tube every minute for five minutes and I couldn't swallow at all. Then they weigh the saliva in the tube. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of that. My saliva was borderline low...whatever that means. At least Kevin was amused for these tests. That makes them easier...a little.

Sorry About That

Kevin was supposed to send me pics from today, and he didn't. It's his fault. Be back tomorrow.

Baby, Are You Down, Down, Down, Down, Down?

So this is a song that my kids are obsessed with. Have you heard it? Even Marley sings it. She can't say a lot of words, but of the ones she can say, down is one of them.

This was to let you hear the song a bit. You can hear when they start singing, "down, down" with a lot of notes. That's what Marley's doing in this next video.

As if that wasn't bad, here's Rory singing all the lyrics to the fast part of the song. Crazy! Logan likes this song too, but we'll focus on what his favorite song is tomorrow. For now, here's Rory harmonizing and everything.

This blog is moving fast tonight. It normally takes a while to upload videos. There you have it. Proof of us ruining the kids. :) A special Happy Birthday to Brian today!!!!!!!

Smush Marley

Given that we know I have weird kids, it should be no surprise to know that Marley loves to smush her face up against the screen. Seriously, whenever she has a chance to look at someone outside the screen, she smushes her face on it. I finally got some pictures of it thanks to Kevin.

I have no idea what's up with the expression in these photos, but I think it adds to her weirdness. I just can't get over these photos! They're hilarious!

By the way, HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!

Funny Story

Since the weather is getting so hot, the kids and I normally head out to play at 830a. We water the plants and clean the car. Seriously, I vacuum that car at least every other day. The kids like to play in the car. Today we were playing the "Let's pretend we're watching a scary movie" game. It goes something like this.

I sit in the back seat, and Logan and Rory take turns being the parent driving. They sit in the driver's seat, pretend like their driving, and when I scream, they push a random button that "skips" the bad part of the movie. Sometimes I laugh just to keep it interesting because they immediately ask what I'm laughing at in a scary movie. I like to think that I'm teaching them how to use their imaginations. Moving on....

Today Rory was "the mom" and Logan and Marley were sitting with me. We were screaming and Rory was skipping, and then Logan turns to me and says, "I'm scared of damn tires." I looked at him funny and asked him what he said. He repeated, "I'm scared of damn tires." I asked if he meant to say "vampires." He said, "Yeah...damn tires." I then proceeded to enunciate the word until he said it correctly.

I told Kevin about it, and Logan came into the room right then. I asked him if he was still afraid of vampires, and he said, "damn tires." Kevin then enunciated the word for him, and Logan said it correctly. So basically, if you need a laugh and Logan is around, ask him to say "vampires."

How did he learn about such a word anyway?

Logan's New Look

Well, it happened. Logan got his haircut. I have to say that it was my idea. He gets so HOT running around and I can see all the hair stuck to his head from sweat. I got the clippers out today, so now I present to you, the new Logan.

I don't understand this face, but I have a thousand pictures of it. I like him better with longer hair, but not in the summer. He likes it!

Marley and James Sitting In A Tree...

Jess and Jim have a little boy, James.
James will be two this month. Marley will be two in September. An arranged marriage has already been arranged. They don't know it yet. Neither do Jess and Jim. We went to their house the other day, and Marley and James got to hang out a little. Once James figured out that he couldn't beat Marley up, they got a long great. :)
My girl tends to come on a little fast.
Don't worry...nothing happened.

Wouldn't it be something if they actually ended up together and I could show them these pictures?

Something Different

For those of you who were there, I did an elaborate blog change this afternoon to red, white, and blue in a non-patriotic way. It hurt to look at it, so I lightened it up a bit. I like this for tonight while I'm not feeling well and don't want to mess with it. Maybe I'll just switch it up every now and then to keep you on your toes. This is what it is for now. About not feeling well, I'm not going to have anything for you tonight. I'm going to post some pics, but it's really going to be an easy way out for me. So goodnight, and I hope I feel better. :)

Well?

What do you think about the new blog? It's no secret that I like the color red. It's my favorite along with green. Yes, I know, Christmas colors. I found the new template on the blog and changed it, but you could still see the daisies showing through from my old blog. I asked Kevin for help. He took over and fiddled with it. I got in the shower. I got out of the shower. He was still fiddling with it. I asked him if he googled "how to get rid of the cutest blog on the block template." He brought up another screen, read the directions, and it was gone in less than five minutes. Isn't that funny? I'm sure Kevin will have a comment about this, but I thought it was funny. Let me know how you like it.

Fun Games With Futon Cushions

Yes, that's the title. Kaelyn's futon from Ikea had a separate head cushion that came off. Since it's not currently with the futon, it's being played with. Normally it's a plank or a big sword, but for these videos, it's a cushion.

Crazy kids + crazy dad = great blog.

The Town Carnival

We decided to take the kids to the town carnival today. It was because it was about 70 degrees here today, and the idea of not sweating and carrying kids appealed to us. Kaelyn wasn't there with us because she had homework to do. AND...I BROUGHT MY CAMERA!!!!!!

Rory on the worm something that Logan didn't want to go on.

Waiting in line for the big slides that Logan didn't want to go on. Kevin was going to bring Marley, but they wouldn't let him sit Marley on his lap. Have you seen these slides? Marley ended up not going on.

That's why Marley didn't go on. They wanted her on a burlap sack in the middle lane with Kevin in one of the side lanes "holding" her. What are they smoking?

This was the alligator ride that Logan was waiting through everything else to go on. Then he got there and I don't think it was what he expected.

Then he warmed up a little.

Marley did not like this idea of Rory and Logan going on rides and her not getting to do anything. So...we went to play games.

This is the duck game...and a long story. You pick a duck, and it says "S" for small,"M" for medium, and "L" for large. See the toys behind? They're on three levels...small, medium, and large. How did you know? Rory picked a small, Marley picked a small, and Logan picked a medium. The lady acted like he just solved world hunger. "Oh my gosh you got an M!!!!!" Logan picked a light toy that he can't have while he sleeps. Marley got a little stuffed animal and Rory got a stick that makes noise when you turn it upside down and right side up. The lady said that if we came back, they could trade in those toys and get an upgrade. We went back for the last game of the evening at 7p. Rory got a small, Marley didn't play again, and Logan got a large. Well, you can imagine the lady's surprise to that. Rory traded in her stick for a medium toy since she got two smalls. She wanted a black and white striped tiger. Logan wanted to keep his light toy (this was before he knew he wouldn't be able to have it in his room) and got a toy car, which was on the large level. Walking back to the car immediately after that, Rory was upset because she no longer wanted her tiger. She wanted the noise stick back. Go figure! It must have been hard watching Logan get two bigger prizes than she did. We tried to talk about it, but you know Rory. I had Kevin take her back to the booth and get her noise stick back and another small toy. She came back with her noise stick and the black and white tiger. God bless that game runner. The end.

We were going to take the kids on this ride. No one else was in line. Kevin and I were discussing who was going to take Marley. The ride runner told me to park the stroller in the gate and get on the ride for free because he couldn't stand to see the family broken up. So Kevin and I jumped in the car with Marley with Logan and Rory behind us. You can see Logan really well with this picture. I was trying to take a picture of us all riding but it didn't go so well.
I didn't think this was too bad.

Next we moved on to a ride all three could go on together.

I went on these spinning dragons with the kids. Kevin was in charge of the pictures. I yelled at Rory the whole time we were waiting to go that she was not allowed to spin us fast.

This is Marley sticking to my side because we were spinning so fast.
What do you mean it doesn't look like Rory's spinning the thing?

Ok, so maybe I spun us a little fast. They loved it though...even though it doesn't look like it. all in all it went well. We missed Kaelyn, but we had fun. Here's a pic of the troops with their winnings.

The Latest In Cirque de Bucy

For the queasy or weak of stomach, please do not play these videos...Nana. :)

Oh guys! I had three videos to load and the other two kept coming up with errors. Now I don't have a full blog. Sorry...but I hope you liked the Marley one! Kevin thought it was hilarious. I knew better than to worry. Hopefully tomorrow will post the other ones.

More Marley Love...

While we're on the subject of Marley lovin', let's turn the table to Logan, Marley's sidekick. Logan is Marley's side kick because Rory would go off to school twice a week, and it was just us three. They have a love/hate relationship most of the time. Logan doesn't understand that she's only 21 months and Marley doesn't understand that she's only 21 months. It's a running theme with my kids. Here are some lovable moments.
You know how in the movie Oceans 11, Brad Pitt's character was always eating or drinking? This is how I view Marley. In almost every picture she's always eating or drinking. Anyway, lovely moments from brother and sister. I better hold onto these pics for later.

Italy - Day 4

On Tuesday morning of our trip, we woke early.  We had an appt. for a Scavi Tour at 930a and had to be there at 915a.  When Kevin called t...
