FIELD DAY/WHAT WE HAVE BEEN DOING IN THE MONTH OF MAY

Hello everyone, it's Marley again. I've posted before, and it was great! I loved it, so I'm here to share again on the 21st.  My family and I (except Relic) went to field day at our school to celebrate the end of the school year.  They had teams.  I was on red team, Logan was on green team, and Rory was on orange team.  I had one friend on my team. Logan and Rory were allowed to roam freely, but Rory didn't have any friends there.  Logan just ran around with his friend, but anyone 5th grade and under had to be with a parent assigned to their team.  I was stuck with Mrs. Bucy the whole time.  It was delightful.

I was pretty good at some of the games and such.  Then we had tug-of-war.  My team vs. blue first. They said they needed another person, so they picked one of the STRONGEST fathers to help them.  They won.  Wow, big surprise. We were against purple team next.  They all said we had to redeem ourselves.  Um, no, we didn't, but we still fought.  They didn't have a dad, so that was nice.  Both  teams were pulling on the rope when the rope got really light.  I literally thought they were going to let us win.  We had parents standing beside us yelling, "One, Two, Three, Pull!!!!!!" On pull you were to really, really pull.  Sadly, purple had people on the front that fell, and we ended up dragging them across the cone we had to pass to win.  For the record, I couldn't see so I didn't know.

Then then it was girls vs boys.  Girls win every year.  No kidding. It was no stress.  We won and then came time to give the 3rd, 2nd,  1st and preschool ribbons.  3rd was...Green!!! Logan got a 3rd place ribbon.  Preschool got their little plastic medals.  Then 2nd was...Purple.  Good job, purple!  It was between red, orange, and blue for 1st.  Orange was saying that red was going to win.  I didn't know because we had some younger kids (no offense to younger then 10yrs of age kids).  They announced the winners.  I was standing there with my friends on my team, Lucy and Ellery.  We were all crossing our fingers. 1st was ............Red!!!!!!!!! I was so happy! We started happily yelling, "Yes!!!" and went to retrieve our ribbons.  It was so fun.  My other friends, who were on orange and purple, came with me and Lucy to the moon bounce.

After that I had to leave.  I was so tired, but it was so worth it.   Some other things that happened this month, I pulled out a tooth. Logan had his first sleepover at 12yrs old.  I had my first sleepover at 10yrs old, but I just moved to Rory's room because I didn't want to sleep by myself upstairs.  Mommy got a job.  May has been busy, busy, busy.   That's all folks.  Byeeeeeeeeeee!

My Boy!

I don't know the last time I had a blog just about Logan, but I think it's due time.  I've been meaning to get this up, but I was waiting for pictures.  I had the pleasure recently to accompany Logan to his Civil Air Patrol meeting.  Kevin normally takes him, but he was promoting, so I went.  I was extremely pleased by the program, and the people were kind.  I can see Logan benefitting from it.  Here are the pics from his third promotion.

Doesn't he look dapper?  I tried to get a pic of him with his cover on too, but the sun was shining.

And just for kicks

Also in Logan news, we went to a mommy/daughter date.  Kevin usually takes the girls to a daddy/daughter dance, but my friend sent me the link to this one, and I swooped up tickets.  We had a wonderful time, and I was not expecting it to be full out ritzy like this.

I even managed to get his dancing on video, so we had proof it happened.

The tales of Logan continue with him scheduled to take his first O-Flight for CAP this afternoon.  It's a beautiful BREEZY day, so this momma is making his daddy take him.  Cross your fingers!

Italy - Day 4

On Tuesday morning of our trip, we woke early.  We had an appt. for a Scavi Tour at 930a and had to be there at 915a.  When Kevin called t...
