Have you ever had a day when you thought it was the next day? All day today I thought it was Friday, and I was really upset when I would remember it was only Thursday. This happened again this evening. As you all know, I don't blog on Fridays. I'm sorry! But hey, at least I'm getting better!
Good night!

A Birthday Wish
Happy Birthday to my big sister, Dita. It is her birthday today, and she is on a business trip. She has two children that she has to spend this birthday away from. That stinks. Instead of telling you some things you may not know about her, I'm going to write my birthday wishes for her.
I wish for peace for my sister, peace in her life. She has so many things being thrown at her that she can't even come up for air most times.
I wish her patience. Patience that good things come. Who was it? Oprah? That said something to the effect of not giving up because you might be five minutes away from a miracle.
I wish her friendship. She has good friends, but I'm talking more about relationships that have been damaged to heal again and blossom into a loving friendship.
I wish for forgiveness for her. Mainly that she forgives herself because she's really hard on herself sometimes. She needs to forgive herself and know that there's no way to live up to our own standards sometimes. This is especially hard for us mothers.
I wish for her healing. Healing from all things that effect her trust in mankind. Sometimes when we're running from here to there, we don't have time to sit and deal with things that have hurt us, so we can move past them.
I wish for joy for her. Joy that she is getting stuff done. She is still climbing that mountain. She is persevering. She has a family that loves her. Happiness is a given in this one too.
Most of all I wish her love. Love from the only people that really matter...God and herself. I'm not sure of her view on faith, but I pray every night that God open her heart to let her feel and experience my wishes for her. I truly believe that it is Him that has given her this much strength thus far. I don't need to wish my sister strength. She has enough for all of us...and then some.
Happy Birthday, Dita. I love you.

If I Had A Camera...
Here are some things you would get to see on this blog if I had a WORKING camera.
1. Rory as Batman and Logan as Bumblebee crossing the street to get the mail today.
2. Me holding Marley in her yellow Winnie the Pooh dress.
3. Me making homemade English Muffins.
4. The look on the kids' faces while trying the homemade English Muffins.
5. Rory and Logan after playing in the dirt and throwing it on each other.
6. Our van...clean.
7. Marley wearing her bunny towel after her bath.
8. The scratch where Moki attacked Logan today.
9. The scratch where Moki attacked Marley today.
10. Rory playing the xylophone and singing softly to calm Moki down and keep him from scratching everyone.
These are just some of the things you would see. Alas...it's not meant to be. My birthday is April 16th. Until then, and if I get a camera, no pictures for you! JUST KIDDING! I wouldn't do that to you guys. They just won't be top quality pictures. So here are the only pictures I got today of any of the things I listed.

My Beef
So...a bunch of you complained that this here blog wasn't up and running. Then I bust my bum trying to blog faithfully, and still only my husband comments...and even those are few and far between. In light of this situation, I'm going to throw out all my best "commentable" material and see what happens. Here goes...

Ramblings from the Weekend
Well, I know you all are wondering. I didn't do my closets. My first challenge and I failed; however, Kevin and I rearranged our closet not too long ago. In my opinion, it doesn't need done again yet. I did the kids dresser. Does that count? The kids dresser (from Ikea) broke. Kevin said he would need to do this and that and whatever, so I came up with the brilliant plan to trade their dresser out for ours.
Kevin cleaned out and off our dresser and brought it upstairs. He placed it right in front of Rory and Logan's dresser, so I could just turn and place the clothes in the new dresser. I did all this, and then Kevin asked if we should freecycle Rory and Logan's dresser. I told him I wouldn't do that because the dresser is broken, and that would be rude to give it to someone else. He said the dresser was fine because all he had to do was fix the drawers, which he then proceeded to do. Let me reiterate that I already had all the clothes moved. Anyway, I told him I would prefer the old dresser because it was bigger, but that he said he had to do all this work to it. He agreed that he had to go get some supports, but that tightening the drawers would hold it for a while. Nice. I then moved all the clothes back from our dresser into Rory and Logan's dresser. The whole time Kevin was saying, "That was a good exercise though?! You got all those clothes cleaned out and ready to donate!" I just looked at him. You get it, right?
Saturday night brought Kaelyn's new boyfriend over for dinner. I then babysat teenagers laughing and giggling for 5 hours. Fun.
Sunday was church and Nana's birthday dinner and party. I think she made out good for her birthday. She got a new camera that I have my eye on. I asked the most important question when seeing it..."Does it come in any different colors?" I was looking for a, "Yes, it comes in red." That's my favorite color. Did you know that?
So that was my weekend in a nutshell. Aren't you glad you didn't ask? For the following picture...I don't know where we were going, but I looked back at the kids, and this is what I saw.
Look at Logan with a thumbs up. I should hang this on the wall of the bathroom. Why you ask? Because that's where I go to breathe and calm down when the kids get out of hand. I should make a whole collage of pictures of them being sweet. It might save their lives one day!

Day One
I'd like to start out by saying that today was a busy day. I have not done the closet challenge that is supposed to be finished tomorrow. I'm blogging instead. Priorities...priorities. I knew it would come down to this. So...my day tomorrow is pretty busy too, but I am going to get it done. I had such an urge to just write git r' done...but I didn't do it. Thank me in the comments section.
Some things that happened in my busy day...in no particular order...
1. made banana bread and muffins with Rory (and Marley..but she mainly played in the spilled flour)
2. did a training call for thirty-one
3. took Rory to clarinet
4. took Rory to piano
5. sat by and watched crazy, cousin, cartwheel Karla introduce Rory to drums and then shower her with endless compliments about how good she is at said drums
6. figured out a way to get back at crazy, cousin, cartwheel Karla for the drum instigation
7. got shrunk
8. blogged
On another note, does this picture bother anyone else besides me?

Becoming a Homemaker
Times are changing. I have found new information and challenges to make me a homemaker. I have wanted this for some time, and just didn't feel like I had the necessary tools to make me such. I invite you on my journey...1. Because I'm sure there'll be some laughs, 2. For some accountability, 3. Why not?
I'm starting this week with a challenge to clean out my closet. The Lupus Foundation is coming for a pick up next Tuesday, but this challenge wants it done by Friday. I need to handle every piece of clothing I own and really make a decision about it. Whatever I decide gets done by Friday...if I'm donating it, trashing it, whatever. I'm supposed to take before and after pics, but I don't know if you've heard that my camera is broken. So...you'll just have to take my word for it that I did it.
What a great time to be working for a company selling organizational products. Maybe after our financial fast, I'll get some helpful storage totes.

Happy Birthday Nana!!!!!
Well, it's about that time again...Nana's birthday. We're having trouble coordinating a time to celebrate her birthday because this is a busy week for everyone. This makes Nana happy because she would rather not have this birthday. So...here are some thing you might not know about Nana.
1. She could be the best thirty-one consultant if she wanted to. (she know what I'm talking about)
2. She is EXTREMELY supportive of all of us. (see number 1)
3. She once had a conversation with Tennessee Williams at the hospital.
4. She taught herself how to sew.
5. She is kind, generous, loving, feisty, opinionated, selfless, caring, and more.
Happy Birthday Nana! We love you!

BrideFormer
When Rory was little, she had a favorite white dress that she would dress up in. Since she no longer fits in this dress, it has been handed down to Marley. I think it was Sam or Nik's flower girl dress at one point. Anyway, when you hear that Marley and Rory are playing dress up, you can almost always bet that Marley will come out in this white dress.
This day was no different, but Marley didn't just come out in this white dress, she added an accessory...

I've heard of Bridezilla...this might be a new breed!
