A Couple Things...

I didn't get a picture of today, thus probably ending my career as a blogger. :)

1. Marley holding onto Nana because she had just given her a piece of clementine, and Marley wasn't letting her get away!

2. Rory eating pickles and gizzards for lunch.

3. Making a snake craft today with the kids, at Nana's house, even though Nana HATES snakes.

4. Marley eating painted snake craft later at home and having paint ALL over the sides of her mouth, so she looked like The Joker.

Sorry to disappoint you all. I've been a little off my blogger lately. I'll try to remember to have my camera on my person at all times like I used to. Hopefully, this won't be happening again.

So...

I was told that somebody said this blog was somber yesterday. Well, TOUGH! Every now and then I can't do cartwheels. Since I don't have anything "new" I'll use the toss outs. Boy, I can already feel the comment section on this one using the words toss outs.
Here's the video Kevin was talking about that Logan wanted me to take and then faced the TV to dance.

We'll see if I hear anything about somber with this one.

Well...

I'm not sure what to say tonight. I didn't get any interesting pictures today. I'm hoping to have some tomorrow. I guess I want to say thank you to all of you out there supporting us and praying for us during this difficult time. We're keeping our faith and know that everything will work out exactly how it's supposed to, even if we don't understand it at the time. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Taylor Swift and Marley

So Rory received a CD player with microphones from Santa for Christmas. Santa also got her a Taylor Swift CD. This is a favorite of Rory. She plays it, sings it, dances to it...even Logan and Marley join in. Occasionally, just for laughs, I will too. (READ: I AM NOT A CLOSET TAYLOR SWIFT FAN!) The other day Rory was playing her CD and dancing, so Logan and Marley joined in. Check out this video of them. Watch Marley closely when the line "Baby, just say yes" plays.

Isn't she adorable? We might have yet another performer.

Rory's Snack Hat

Rory watched Curious George the other morning, and apparently he had a hat that when you lift the flap, raisins would come out of it. Rory wanted to make one, and this is her new invention...the snack hat.

By the way, this totally counted as our homeschooling for the day. :)

Little Flowers

Little Flowers is like the Catholic equivalent to girl scouts. Rory had a meeting tonight. I took her and Joslynn and Juliana. It was out in Thurmont which I made it to surprisingly well. It all went well if you can call being surrounding my 20 screaming girls. We made it out of there in time to hit the ice storm. The reason for all of this is that I'm home, and I'm not going to have a great blog because this is it. Sorry and good night.

BATMAN!

A picture to make Papa proud. All the boys have the same batman pajamas as you can see. It was funny that they all had them here and clean when Dale and Dayce spent the night. Unfortunately, Rory didn't have any, but I have a sneaky suspicion that she'll be receiving Catwoman ones for her birthday now. :)

Clean Up on Aisle...

Because Kevin emailed this morning and said that maybe we should try and clean the microwave and the walls in the kitchen since it still smells like burnt macaroni...

Because I am a firm believer in slave labor...

Because there are no such thing as child labor laws in the Bucy house...

I gave each of the kids a wet paper towel and put them to work. They were instructed to wipe down the walls, fridge, anything and everything. Don't believe me?
Even Miss Marley had to clean.
Whenever you have a camera around Miss Marley, she shines.
She even thought to do the floor. I didn't even give instructions to wipe the floor. What a good little cleaner?!

The bowl is still outside on the deck. I didn't get to it today. Whatever. Now that I know what these kids are capable of, there's no stopping me!

How NOT To Make Macaroni and Cheese

Kevin and I are eating healthy, so this means that the kids starve most nights. Tonight we were making another healthy meal, so I was nuking up some mac-n-cheese for the kids. I made two two packs. Got it? That's four total mac-n-cheese doubled up. I made the first batch fine. When it beeped, Kevin was at the stove cooking so I thought I would put the other bowl in right away and get them both done and cooled off. So...I put the other bowl in.

After a little bit, we started to smell some smoke. The microwave beeped. I opened it up and all this smoke came rolling out. I FORGOT TO PUT THE WATER IN THE MAC-N-CHEESE! All the windows and doors were opened while I put the bowl of burnt macaroni on the deck. Surprisingly, the smoke alarms didn't go off. Maybe that should say ALARMINGLY. Here are some pics for your continued amusement of me.

Special thanks goes out to my photographer husband, who thinks quick and gets the camera to make sure the most embarrassing moments of my life are captured. :)

Face Painting 201

We're still stuck on this Crayola Face Painting business. Here are some of the latest.

Dragon Logan
Butterfly Rory
Dragon Logan and Butterfly Rory. I asked Logan to make a dragon face. This is what I got.
Lizard Logan
Wolf Logan
Gnarly Marley
Bird Rory

As you can see, these things are a hit. The only problem is that their faces aren't reacting too well to the paint, and it itches them terribly. That's the price I guess.

A Toy in Review

Rory and Logan received Crayola Quick and Easy Face Paint for New Years. We give gifts on New Year's Day in hopes that you will prosper in the New Year. Anyway, here's what they look like.
Here are the ones the kids chose.
I shot this pic horizontally, but for some reason it won't stay that way when I try to attach it. So, Rory wanted the cat and Logan wanted the spider.
They are little films of paper painted with the design, so all you're supposed to have to do is put it on the child's face and rub over it with your finger. Well, that's what I did but as you can see, the paint didn't com completely off in some areas, leaving just a faint print. It also came with a pen to add designs, so I added a spider to Logan's cheek like the picture had.
You can barely see if because the boy kept moving. And what's with the eyes? I told him to try again after this shot.
So I said, "Logan, open your eyes like this" and preceded to raise my eyebrows.
It'll have to do. Next up was Rory.
She's good at taking pictures, but I noticed she does the same thing with her eyes as Logan. Look!
So I took another one. I love the arm around the neck thing from Logan. How cute?!
They're pretty good. The kids don't care that they're faint. And they wash off with soap and water. I think Rory didn't even use soap and just scrubbed her face off. Enjoy!

Ummmmmmm...

So I went to do this blog, and Kevin has been rebuilding my laptop. Well, I have no pictures on it. I have figured out that I need to start blogging in the morning or at naptimes because this night time thing isn't working. Sorry guys. I'll get better...I promise. Good night.

AAAAHHHHHHHH!

I forgot that being healthy includes getting enough sleep. We're back from the gym, having a snack, and planning meals for tomorrow. I haven't showered or anything yet! So, this is going to be short and sweet and since I've been skimping on the pics, I'll just roll that beautiful bean footage.

Ummmm...apparently I didn't have as many beans as I thought. Sorry about that. I'll try to make an interesting blog tomorrow. I know I have more pictures around here somewhere. Later!

24 Hour Delay

This post will be delayed 24 hours due to the flurry of activity surrounding the start of me and Kevin eating right and exercising again. This includes taking our weight, measurements, and picking out our food for tomorrow. It's a drawn out process that includes a last meal which we are currently cooking...pizza and soda. What a way to go out, huh?!!? Wish us luck. We did this last year at this same time, so it should be interesting. Adieu!

:(

Maria's leaving tomorrow morning. It's so sad when she leaves. It's up in the air about when she'll be back, since her baby is due in July. Congratulations again, Ri!!!! Anyway, she was here with Dayce when he was just two weeks old, so maybe she'll get here with the newbie. I sure hope so. I'm sorry to do this to you again, but it's really late. I'm trying to catch up on my sleep since Kevin was up the other night, and we didn't get home until late tonight from an appt. Please forgive me, and I'll talk to you all Sunday night. Take care!

Say Cheese!

Random picture post alert!!!!! I don't have a blog in me. I need to sleep. So here are pics from Chuck-E-Cheese the other night. I think they're all pretty much self explanatory.

Sorry about the red eyes on Rory. I'm at a different puter tonight.

I just have to say,"Nana, I made sure to crash Kyle Busch first."

Good night. Sleep tight.

New Years Eve Revisited

Sorry that this is five days late but better late than never. So to begin, the plan was that Ri and I were going to put the kids to bed at normal bedtime, and then wake them up at 1130p and get them ready to jump and ring in the New Year. Jumping is something that we, Montilla's, have always done because it's supposed to mean that however high you jump is how much you'll grow that next year. And you always have money in your pocket, so you'll have money through the next year. Then...we eat...at midnight. Think Gremlins. Anyway, Marley, Logan, and Rory were all in one room. We staggered their bedtimes and everything went great. At 1130p we got the kids up. Ri does this with her kids every year, so they kind of know the drill. My kids didn't know what to think. Kaelyn, Rory, and Marley were all for it and fine. Logan could've stayed asleep I think. He wasn't very impressed.

By the time we got them dressed (you're supposed to wear a new outfit. I didn't get the memo until it was too late, so each kids wore something new instead) it was 1145p. The ball dropped and we all jumped and made noise and kissed and toasted. Everyone ate a little something, and the kids went back to bed...or were supposed to. We put Ror, Log, and Mar in at once. We went in there, I don't even know how many times, to Logan playing with Marley...the lights on and them jumping up and down...Marley had Rory's blanket in her playpen and Logan's teddy bear...it was anything and everything. We finally (Kevin, Kaelyn, and I) went in and laid down.

It was 2-230a before everyone was finally asleep. Marley would lie down and whenever she heard anyone, she would pop back up and see what was going on. When she saw it was nothing she would lie back down until the next sound...until 2AM! At 5am Rory woke up. She's like clockwork. She had to go potty. I held her off until 6am. She asked me every five minutes or so that whole hour. I got up to take her. When we walked back in, Marley was standing up in her playpen and she smelled awful. I tried to lie down, but she started crying probably because her bottom was reeking. I got her up and Rory and went out to the living room giving up on sleep for this next year. Here's some pictures that I'll roll. Happy New Year!

Italy - Day 4

On Tuesday morning of our trip, we woke early.  We had an appt. for a Scavi Tour at 930a and had to be there at 915a.  When Kevin called t...
