Pinewood Derby Time!
Logan is in his first year of Boy Scouts. This weekend was their Pinewood Derby car race. Logan placed 1st in den! He called his car "Christmas Car." Can you guess what colors it was painted? Kevin and I were quick to take the "as long as you have fun" road. There are some kids (read: Dads) who took this way too seriously. Anyway, here are some pics of Logan and his car.

Logan did most of this project on his own. I helped cut out his design and worked on securing the weight and subsequently cutting out some of the weight. I think he had fun with it though. I think most of the scouts did their own work as well. Some of them either outright said or you could tell, that the dads did the work. I think the proudest statement from Logan was when he came in fourth in one heat (everyone got one race down each of the four lanes, so you raced in four heats overall). He had already come in Third, Second, and First. Upon coming in Fourth he said "Well at least I got all the numbers!" He was very excited about it and I was excited for him. Next time though we are going to have to shorten the name "Santa's Colorful Sleigh" didn't fit on the screen. Logan, I am proud of you!
