A Love Affair

When I first joined the Bucy family eight years ago, I made some first impressions of everyone. Jerry was the mafia boss. Renee was the doting mother/grandmother. Brian was a strict vice mafia boss. And Paula was European (that includes all the adjectives that normally come with Europeans...like laid back and such). I wasn't too far off on these impressions. I was spot on with Renee's actually, but it's with Brian that I was off. I saw his teddy bear inside on and off with the girls, but we weren't really around a lot when they were younger since we lived in VA. Since having our younger ones, his teddy bear inside spends a lot of time on the outside. This has not been more apparent than now with Marley.

Marley LOVES Uncle Brian. It's crazy and amazing to watch her face light up when she sees him and vice versa. She runs to him, talks to him, lets him feed her. She is bringing out a side to Brian that I honestly haven't seen full throttle. Don't get me wrong, he is soft and playful with Rory and Logan, but little Miss Mar brings something else out. I can't describe it, so I'll show you.

Sorry if this embarrasses you Brian. It had to happen sooner or later. Thanks for loving my kids.
By the way, I tried the Almond Nut Clusters, and I like the peanut ones better. I would've known this sooner, but well, you know.

Memorial Day Part Two

On Monday we went to Nana and Papa's. Our plan was to have lunch there, put Logan and Marley down for naps, and take Rory and Kaelyn to the pool. Everything went according to plan. At 2p I went up to the house and got Logan up and brought him down. At 3p I went up and got Marley up and brought her down. Logan was ok with the pool. Marley just wanted to sit on the side and kick her feet around. About the time she started walking around in it and getting comfortable, it was time to leave. I have a feeling we'll have a lot of time at the pool this summer. I only got one shot of Marley in her bathing suit.
I got this bathing suit a while ago, so she needs a new one already. Later!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Happy Memorial Day to everyone! We had quite an exciting weekend. I'm going to split the post in two. First up, my parents house on Sunday.
We were on I-270 when we saw the "Rolling Thunder" procession. At first it was awesome to see all the motorcycles going by on their way to DC...but then we got stopped to let them all go by. We were the second car in line when they stopped us, and we waited for about 45 minutes. We let the kids out of their seats and they stood at the back of the car waving to all the motorcycles going right by us on the shoulder. We ended up so late that we couldn't make it to meet Grandma and Gekko for breakfast. We ended up getting off on Route 7 after 66 was a mess too. We found a Panera and ate breakfast outside at 1030a. That was a good time at least after sitting in the car all that time.
We ended up spending most the of the day outside and even ate out there. My dad grilled some ribs, so we decided to roast marshmallows too. I was really excited because I love roasted marshmallows. The kids ended up asking for "raw" ones. What's wrong with them?! More for me! We packed things up for a long car ride home thinking the "Rolling Thunder" would be on their way home, and we got home in about an hour...of course! Tomorrow...Nana and Papa's and the first day at the pool!

Well folks, Dayce is turning three today. I'm not sure Maria feels better today than she did then since she's 8 months prego. :) Anyway, a little birdy told me that Dayce might like a little birthday message on this here blog today, so that's what's happening. Happy Birthday, Dayce!!! We love you!!! (Kaelyn was not present for this singing because she's sick in bed, but she'll be singing on the phone call version of this video.)

Happy Birthday, Dayce! May all your dreams come true!

Too Late...

I didn't get home from the gym and store until 915p. I had to eat something, and the only thing new I have to post is videos...lots of videos. They take too long to load, and I need to go to sleep. By the way, sorry that I didn't post anything for today. I wasn't home last night, and I didn't have any pictures anyway. I'm going to close out the day and blog for now though. Thanks to my loyal readers. Hasta La Vista!

Mommy Elephant

So we all know I'm not the player of the family. I play with the kids, but I always defer to Kevin because he has natural kid qualities. Every now and then though, I let my inner child out. I think the kids love this because I'm normally yelling at them rather than along with them. So the other day when we were playing, I let her out.
These are the masks that make the animal sounds when you press the noses. Marley kept trying to reach around and press my nose. It was cute.
So...you saw it here first. Too bad I didn't get a video of it. Then you could've heard the sound. For now the inner child is locked up again. Until next time...

Cirque de Marley

It's no secret that these kids are acrobats. Kevin has made them so, and Marley is no exception.
Get your favorites folder ready....

Two for Two!

I made it back, and it wasn't that long!  Continuing on with the pic collage of 2026.  Here we roll... January This guy's birthday...
